Elizabeth Police continue to investigate a report of an aggravated robbery at a Salisbury Downs ATM overnight and are in the process of seizing CCTV footage from the ATM and surrounding area which may have recorded the incident.
A 25-year-old Parafield Gardens man has reported that he was withdrawing money from an ATM at Hollywood Plaza when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men was armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s cash and car keys.
The two suspects, both described as of Middle Eastern appearance, 170-180cm tall, wearing black hooded tops, left in the victim’s Holden Commodore sedan. This vehicle was found by police a short time later on fire on Waterloo Corner Road at Burton. A search of the area failed to locate any suspects.
