A man has been charged following a robbery that occurred last night in Benaraby.

Shortly before 9.10pm, a man ordered a taxi from Barney Point and directed the driver to take him to Benaraby.

Once they arrived at the corner of the Bruce Highway and Old Tannum Sands Road, police will allege that the man pulled a knife and demanded money from the driver.

The man was taken into custody a short time later.
