Police are searching for three people after a club at Rockdale was robbed overnight.

Staff were closing the Chapel Street business about 11.20pm (Thursday 31 July 2014), when they were confronted by two men.

Police from St George Local Area Command have been told one man was armed with a handgun, the other with a sledgehammer.

They threatened staff before taking cash and running from the building.

The men were last seen leaving in a silver Audi station wagon, being driven by a third person.

Detectives from St George Local Area Command have spoken with the two staff and two patrons who in the building at the time.

The men were described only as wearing dark jumpers and pants and both had their faces covered.
