Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a bottle shop in Padstow.
About 7.30pm yesterday (Saturday 2 August 2014), a man armed with a knife entered the Howard Street business.
The man demanded the two male staff members open the cash register.
They complied, and the man took out the till and emptied the contents into a bag. He then fled the shop.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Police from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and began an investigation.
They are appealing for information from the public about a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged between 20 and 25, about 185cm tall, and with a medium build. He was wearing a bandanna across his face, a blue beanie, a dark-coloured long-sleeve jacket, and dark pants.
