Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Murray Bridge yesterday.

Just after midday, a man allegedly armed with a hammer, entered a deli on Mannum Road and threatened staff.

He made off with the cash register and was last seen driving away in a light blue, late 80’s, Hyundai sedan. The paintwork on the vehicle is described as fresh and patchy. The number plates were painted white.

The suspect is described as about 25-years-old, having a tanned complexion, about 183cm tall, 85-90kg, and was wearing black jeans with a white logo, a black hooded top and a balaclava.

No one was physically injured
