Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery on Brisbane’s south side today.
Around 1.50pm a man entered a School Road convenience store at Yeronga armed with what appeared to be a handgun before demanding an employee behind the counter hand over cash.
The male staff member refused his demands and threatened the gunman with a stool.
The man fled the scene empty-handed and no one was physically injured during the incident.
Police believe that this incident may be linked to the armed robbery at Coopers Plains this morning
