Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Beenleigh have released CCTV footage of the incident as they try to identify the man involved.
Around 8.10am on Thursday, October 2, a man purchased cigarettes from the George Street business before returning to the store and threatening the male employee with a knife.
He fled the scene after the staff member complied with his demands to handover cash from the till.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 185cm tall, with a skinny build and short brown hair with a ‘rats tail’.
At the time of the offence, he was seen wearing a black hooded jumper with a white motif on the front and back and black track-suit pants with a white stripe down the side of the leg.
Investigators from Beenleigh Criminal Investigation Branch urge anyone who may recognise this man, or who may have any other information which could assist in their investigations, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
