A man will appear in court today, charged over the armed robbery of service station in Punchbowl earlier this year.
Police will allege about 2.50am on Wednesday 9 June 2014, a man used a hammer to smash the front glass doors of the Punchbowl Road business and approached the male console operator.
He allegedly demanded money and sprayed an aerosol can towards the attendant with lit a cigarette lighter, resulting in a small flame.
The attendant complied and the man allegedly left with the cash. The employee was not injured.
About 3pm yesterday (Monday 13 October 2014) Campsie Detectives attended a home on Algona Street, Dubbo.
They arrested a 19-year-old man who was charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Tuesday 14 October 2014)
