Police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man of no fixed place with two aggravated robberies in Kingswood and Torrens Park last night.

Police will allege at 8.45pm, Friday 24 October, a man entered a petrol station on Belair Road in Kingswood, threatened staff with an axe and stole cash.

A short time later, the same man entered another petrol station on Belair Road in Torrens Park and again threatened staff with an axe and stole cash.

No one was physically injured and the suspect fled both scenes in a vehicle.

With the assistance of patrols and POLAIR, the vehicle was tracked to a home in Aberfoyle Park and the man was arrested without further incident.

He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.
