3 November 2014 – Armed Robbery – Newsagent – Werrington Downs

Police are currently investigating an armed robbery at a newsagency at Werrington Downs last week.

Just after 8am on Friday 31 October 2014, a man wearing a balaclava entered the Dunheved Road newsagency armed with a pistol.

The man threatened the two shop assistants and demanded money. The man left the shop with cash and was seen to get into a silver hatchback driven by another man in Charles Todd Crescent.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
