State-wide the statistics over the last 12 months to the end of September show that reported offences against the person have fallen one per cent and the total reported offences against property have fallen seven per cent, which has resulted in an overall drop in reported crime of five per cent.

The release of these statistics, which can be found online at https://www.police.sa.gov.au (under About Us, Crime Statistics) each month, is part of a commitment to extend our communication and engagement with the community.

The SAPOL statistics have been compiled in compliance with nationally accepted and approved counting rules.
