Police are appealing for public assistance after an armed robbery in Belmore last night.

About 11.05pm (Thursday 27 November 2014), a man allegedly entered the business on the corner of Kingsgrove Road and William Street armed with a weapon not further described, and threatened staff.

The man allegedly stole a wallet from a staff member before fleeing.

He was last seen entering a small blue sedan, and driving onto Turnton Lane.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police from Campsie Local Area Command were contacted and established a crime scene.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean in appearance, 180cm tall. He was wearing black track pants, gloves, a rood hooded jacket, and had a red scarf covering his face.
