Box Hill Embona Task Force detectives have released images and CCTV following a series of armed robberies in Kew, Vermont, Templestowe and Mitcham over five days.

Investigators have been told the most recent incident occurred Monday 1 December when a man entered a service station on Manningham Road, Lower Templestowe around 11.45pm.

The man produced a handgun and demanded the attendant hand over cash.

The attendant complied and the man left the store.

Investigators believe that the offender is responsible for three other armed robberies.

A service station on Mitcham Road in Mitcham was held up on 27 November around 9pm.

The offender used a handgun and stole cash.

Similar incidents occurred at a fast food restaurant on Canterbury Road in Vermont on 30 November at 9pm and a service station on Willsmere Road in Kew at 10.40pm on 29 November.

The offender is described as Caucasian, 40-45-year-old, 175cm tall with a medium build and shoulder length red/brown hair with sideburns.

Police have released the below images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
