Police have charged a man over an alleged armed robbery in Coonabarabran in November last year.
Shortly before 9pm on Friday 8 November 2013, a 42-year-old man allegedly entered a supermarket on Dalgarno Street while armed with a knife.
It’s further alleged he threatened a staff member with the weapon, while demanding cash and cigarettes.
He fled the location a short time later and the staff member contacted police.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers from Mudgee Local Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by forensic specialists.
Police continued their inquiries into the incident and on Wednesday (17 December 2014), they arrested a 42-year-old man at Coonabarabran Police Station.
The man was later charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon and granted conditional bail to appear before Coonabarabran Local Court on Friday 23 January 2015.
