Police are investigating after a grocery store at Ambarvale was held up at gunpoint this afternoon.

Just after 3pm (Tuesday 23 December 2014), a man armed with a shortened firearm entered the shop on Woodhouse Drive.

The man pointed a firearm at two staff, demanding cash.

He took money from the till before leaving on a pushbike.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The man, who had his face concealed, was wearing a black jacket; light grey tracksuit pants with blue stripes down the leg, black shoes and was carrying a black and white backpack.
