A man will face court tomorrow following an armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant in Dubbo last week.

About 8:30pm (Thursday 18 December 2014), a woman was working in a back room of the restaurant on Victoria Street when she was confronted by a man armed with a knife.

Police have been told the man threatened the woman and other staff before he stole an amount of cash and ran from the scene.

Police were called to the restaurant and commenced investigations into the incident.

About 3.30pm today (Tuesday 23 December 2014), following investigations, detectives from Orana Local Area Command attended a home on Jubilee Street, Dubbo, where they arrested a 21-year-old man.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon. He has been refused bail and will appear at Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (24 December 2014).
