Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a video store in Shellharbour last night.

About 9.15pm (Sunday 28 December 2014), a 55-year-old woman working in a video store on College Avenue went into an office at the back of the store.

When the woman went to return to the shop front, she was confronted by a man armed with a knife, who demanded money. The man left the store a short time later, taking cash.

He was seen to get into the passenger seat of a small red hatchback – similar to a Kia hatchback model – which was last seen travelling north along College Avenue, driven by another man.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Local Area Command were called and commenced investigations.

The woman was uninjured during the incident

As police continue to investigate the incident, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of medium build, about 183cm tall, and was seen wearing a grey jumper and denim jeans.
