Police are investigating after an armed robbery in Coffs Harbour yesterday.

About 1.30pm (Sunday 28 December 2014), two attendants, a woman aged 39 and a man aged 24, were working in a pharmacy on Park Beach Road, when two men entered the shop.

The men approached the counter, threatened the attendants with a knife demanding prescription drugs.

The attendants complied handing over prescription medication, before the men ran from the shop.

Police were called and Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or has information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.

One of the men was described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 173cm tall, slim build and aged in his mid 20s. He was wearing a black cap, black and green jacket with two silver stripes, grey pants with red stripes on the legs, a blue t-shirt and white runners.

The other man was described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 183cm tall, medium build, aged between 20 and 25, and he had straight brown hair covering his ears. He was wearing a full brim black hat with yellow stripes, dark pants and white runners.
