Police are appealing for information after a mobile phone was stolen during an armed robbery in Cabramatta overnight.
About 11pm (Wednesday 21 January 2015) two men, aged 18 and 19, were eating fast food at Cabravale Park, near the intersection of Park Road and McBurney Road, when they were approached by two men.
One of the men produced a small knife and demanded a mobile phone.
The victim handed over his phone before the two offenders ran from the area along McBurney Road.
Police were called and a crime scene was established. A police dog attended but was unable to locate the two men.
Police are appealing for assistance from the public.
The first man has been described as Asian in appearance, 18 – 20 years old, 170cm tall, lanky build with short black hair and wearing a black hooded jumper and dark pants.
The second man has been described as either Caucasian or Mediterranean/Middle Eastern in appearance, 18-20 years old, 175cm tall, skinny build and wearing a black hooded jumper (with the hood on), a scarf covering his face and dark coloured pants.
