A 34-year-old woman was arrested for petrol drive-offs on the State’s west coast today.

Police received reports of a silver Hyundai involved in two petrol drive-offs from service stations this morning.  The first at 8.55am from the Border Village Roadhouse, then at 10.40am from the Nullarbor Roadhouse.

A police patrol pulled over the suspect vehicle on Eyre Highway at Penong at 12.55pm.  The driver was arrested and charged with two counts of making off without payment.

Further investigation revealed the woman was also wanted for four separate counts of making off without payment in Adelaide late last year.

She was also charged with driving while unlicensed.

The arrested woman, of no fixed address, was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court tomorrow.
