A man has been arrested and charged with multiple offences following police inquiries into an armed robbery in Minto this week.

It was about 6am on Tuesday (27 January 2015) that two men entered a fast-food outlet on Stoney Batter Road.

Police will allege the men were armed with knives, and threatened a 32-year-old female employee.

They then fled with cash and personal items belonging to the employee.

The woman was not injured.

Following inquiries, police from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command arrested a 22-year-old man in Claymore about 4am yesterday (Thursday 29 January 2015).

The man was taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station, where he was charged with robbery in company in relation to the Minto incident.

Police charged the man with seven additional offences, which are alleged to have occurred between Tuesday 27 January and Thursday 29 January 2015:

* Aggravated break, enter and steal at a property in Sapphire Place, Eagle Vale;
* Steal motor vehicle from the same property;
* Destroy property by fire in Griffiths Place, Eagle Vale;
* Dishonestly obtain property by deception at a St Andrews service station;
* Break, enter and steal at a landscaping-supplies business in Gregory Hills;
* Take and drive conveyance from a Woodbine property; and
* Goods in custody suspected of being stolen.

The man was refused bail, and will remain in custody until his appearance in Campbelltown Local Court on 11 March 2015.

The investigation continues.
