Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a service station in Haberfield.
About 9.30pm (Thursday 12 February 2015), a 36 year-old man was working at the counter of a shop on Parramatta Road, when a man entered with his face covered.
The man threatened the attendant with a firearm demanding money. The attendant complied handing over cash.
The man then ran from the shop onto Rogers Avenue.
Police were called and officers from Ashfield Local Area Command attended commencing an investigation.
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
A police dog attended and searched for the man, but he was not located.
Investigators would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries, he was described as about 180cm tall, solid build and wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants.
