Just after 12.30am, two men entered the BP On The Run service station on Burbridge Road and threatened the console operator.

One of the offenders was armed with a knife.

The victim retreated to a storeroom after activating the alarm which in turn locked the doors.

The offenders then forced their way out of the service station and left empty handed.

A white Holden Commodore was seen leaving the area.

Patrols converged on the scene and a short time later, located a white Holden Commodore on Henley Beach Road at Lockleys.

The female driver and only occupant,  was arrested after a search of the car uncovered a knife which was believed to have been used in the attempted robbery.

After checking CCTV footage, police arrested a second offender at an address in Brooklyn Park.

A 20-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, both from Andrews Farm, have been charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

They have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

The victim was not physically injured and police enquiries are continuing into the whereabouts of the third offender.
