Police have commenced an investigation following the armed robbery of a Surry Hills convenience store last night.

Around 9.45pm (Wednesday 18 February 2015), two men approached a convenience store on Elizabeth Street.

One man entered the store and threatened the attendant with a flick knife while the other man remained at the entrance.

The attendant refused to open the till and the man with the knife grabbed a pink plastic bag from under the counter and ran out the door.

Police were told the plastic bag contained the attendant’s clothes.

Officers from Surry Hills Local Area Command were called to the incident and established a crime scene.

Investigators would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

One man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 17 to 18 years-old.

He wore a black-coloured sleeveless tank-top and a black t-shirt.

The second man is described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 17 to 18 years-old, 193cms tall with a skinny build.

He wore a blue-coloured t-shirt and a black-coloured singlet.
