Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a hotel in Camp Hill last night.

Around 9.55pm, two men, one believed to be armed with a firearm entered a hotel on Old Cleveland Road before threatening staff and making demands for cash.

One of the men ordered two staff members at gunpoint to lie on the ground whilst the other man emptied the contents of two cash registers into a bag.

The two men fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

Both men are described as being 175cm to 180cm tall, solid build, dark complexion and were wearing dark clothing.

No one was physically injured in the robbery.

Investigations are continuing.
