Police have charged a 48-year-old woman following a series of alleged bag snatches in Melbourne’s north-west.
The woman was arrested by Northland Taskforce members who executed a search warrant at Moreland Road address in Coburg this morning.
She was interviewed in relation to 15 handbag thefts and deception offences across the Preston, Northcote and Brunswick areas.
The Coburg woman has been charged with four counts of theft and eight counts of obtain property by deception.
She has been bailed by police to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 4 May.
