Detectives are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a service station on Ash Street at Flinders View early this morning.
At about 2:15am two men armed with a handgun and a hammer entered the service station and demanded money from the 22-year-old male attendant.
The attendant locked himself in a back room and the two men fled the scene on foot, in the direction of Briggs Road at Raceview.
One of the men is described as being approximately 170cm tall, of thin build and was wearing a black balaclava, black hoodie, black tracksuit pants, and carrying a black Nike bag and a hammer.
The other man is described as being approximately 170cm tall, of proportionate build and was wearing a white mask, black hoodie, black trousers, blue shoes and was armed with a black handgun.
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
