Police are investigating after two armed robberies in Burwood yesterday.
About 4.50pm (Friday 13 March 2015), a man allegedly armed with a silver coloured pistol entered a therapy clinic on George Street and threatened staff.
Staff complied with his demands and he was handed an amount of cash before leaving.
A short time later the man entered a brothel a short distance away, also on George Street. He again threatened staff with a pistol and demanded cash.
Staff complied with his demands and he was handed an amount of cash before running away.
No one was injured during the incidents.
Police from Burwood Local Area Command attended and established crimes scenes at the two premises that were examined by specialist forensic officers. Inquiries are continuing.
Investigators would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Asian appearance, in his mid-40s, about 175cm tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black/blue shirt, black pants, and carrying a black backpack.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
