Police have arrested two teenagers following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west.

About 2am on Thursday 12 March 2015, two teenagers entered a service station on the Great Western Highway in Kingswood. One approached the attendant and produced a knife before demanding a sum of money.

The two teenagers fled the store after taking a sum of money and cigarettes. The teenagers were last seen running towards Morley Street in Kingswood.

Police from St Marys Local Area Command were contacted and investigated the matter.

On Tuesday 19 March 2015, police arrested a 17-year-old male at Penrith Railway Station; meanwhile, a 15-year-old male was arrested at an address in Kingswood. Both teenagers were taken to Penrith Police Station.

Both teenagers were charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.
The 17-year-old was bail refused to appear before a children’s court on 18 March 2015.

The 15-year old was released with strict bail conditions to appear before a children’s court on 8 April 2015.
