Police are investigating an armed robbery at a hotel in Toowoomba early this morning.

At around 1.35am, a man armed with a knife, has entered a hotel on Richmond Street, Wilsonton.

The man jumped over the counter threatening and assaulting the male attendant. The attendant has complied with the offender’s demands and handed over a sum of money.

The offender has then fled the hotel on foot.

Police believe the man may have been dropped off and picked up in a vehicle in the vicinity of Tara Street.

No-one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being about 175cm tall with an athletic build, and a tanned complexion.
