The NSW Police Force’s Metropolitan Robbery Unit has charged a 22-year-old man with numerous offences relating to a spree of aggravated break and enters and armed robberies.
Late last year (2014), the Metropolitan Robbery Unit formed Strike Force Hawick to investigate a number of armed robberies and aggravated break and enters in Sydney’s north and north-west.
Following their inquiries, officers from the Metropolitan Armed Robbery Unit yesterday (Wednesday 31 March 2015) attended a government facility in Parklea where they charged a 22-year-old man with numerous offences relating to a number of different incidents, including:
– The aggravated break and enter, and subsequent theft of property, from a home in Seaforth on Thursday 11 December 2014;
– The armed robbery of a newsagency and post office in Constitution Hill on Friday 19 December 2014;
– The aggravated break and enter, and subsequent theft of property, from a home in Duffys Forest on Tuesday 23 December 2014; and,
– The armed robbery of a liquor store in Constitution Hill on Saturday 27 December 2014.
The 22-year-old has been remanded in custody and is next scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court on 4 June 2015.
