Police are appealing for information after the armed hold-up of a hotel in Vineyard, near Windsor, last night.

About 11.45pm (Sunday 5 April 2015), two men armed with firearms entered a hotel on Windsor Road and threatened two staff members who were closing the premises.

There was no one else in the hotel at the time.

The pair fled the location a short time later with cash and were last seen running from the area.

No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury Local Area Command were called and launched an investigation.

A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.

Local police, with the assistance of the Dog Unit, conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area, however the men were not found. It’s believed they may have had a vehicle parked nearby.

As inquires into the matter continue police would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist in the investigation.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall, of a solid build and he was last seen wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper with a yellow and orange-coloured ‘3’ on the front, dark-coloured pants and a balaclava.

The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 183cm tall, of a solid build and he was last seen wearing a green and blue-coloured hooded jumper, dark-coloured pants, black shoes and a balaclava.
