Police are investigating after an attempted armed robbery at a bank in Seven Hills yesterday.
About 12.30pm (Friday 1 May 2015), a man entered a bank on Tunks Road, with his face covered with a mask and approached a teller.
The man, who was holding a handgun by his side, put a bag on the counter and demanded cash.
The attendant activated the security screen which closed and the man ran from the building empty handed.
No one was injured and police were contacted.
Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.
