Police are investigating following an attempted armed robbery that occurred overnight in Narangba.

Initial information suggests that a man has entered a tavern on Goldern Wattle Drive around 11.20pm and produced a knife.

He has threatened the female employee with the knife and demanded cash, and the employee hasn’t complied.

The man then fled the scene and was last seen getting into a white ute.

The attendant received minor leg and facial injuries as a result of a physical altercation that occurred during the robbery.

The man was last seen wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper with white writing on the shoulders and dark pants.

Investigations are continuing.
