Police have commenced an investigation into the armed robbery of an adult shop in Coffs Harbour early yesterday evening.

Shortly after 6pm (Saturday 16 May 2015), a man armed with a knife entered the shop – on Little Street – and threatened a 32-year-old woman who was working behind the counter.

The woman complied with the man’s demands for cash, handing him an amount of money from the shop’s cash register.

The armed man then fled the location on foot and was last seen running towards an unnamed laneway that links through to Gordon Street.

Police were contacted and an investigation into the robbery is now underway.

The man detectives are looking for is described as being approximately 180cm tall and of thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue, grey and white hooded-jumper, dark pants, white shoes and dark gloves. His entire head was concealed by a white covering.
