Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a Windsor Gardens service station last night.

Just before midnight, a man armed with a knife entered the Liberty Service Station on North East Road and demanded cash.  A staff member activated an alarm causing the offender to flee empty handed.  The offender was last seen riding a pushbike north on North East Road.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as male, of Aboriginal appearance, 20 years old, medium build, wearing a green hooded jumper with a DC logo on the front, grey track pants with black stripes down the sides, and Adidas sneakers.
