Police have charged a man and woman following five alleged robberies in south west Sydney during 2014 and 2015.

In April 2015, officers from the Metropolitan Robbery Unit launched Strike Force Murrandah to investigate a number of robberies that occurred in Sydney’s south west.

These included five incidents of alleged armed robberies committed by a man and woman at;

– About 3.40am on Thursday 10 April 2014, at a fast food establishment on Lyn Parade, Prestons.

– About midnight on Monday 15 September 2014, at a convenience store on Elizabeth Drive, Liverpool

– About 3.30am on Tuesday 7 April 2015, at a business on Exceller Avenue, Bankstown.

– At 3.30am on Wednesday 15 April 2015, at a service station on Lady Woodward Place, Miller; and

– At 1.20am on Sunday 26 April 2015, at a fast food establishment on Lyn Parade, Prestons.

Following a complex investigation, officers attended a home in Miller at 7.20am this morning (Thursday 11 June 2015), and arrested a 35-year-old man and 30-year-old woman.

They were taken to Green Valley Police Station.

The man was charged with four counts of armed robbery with offensive weapon and robbery in company, he was bail refused to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 11 June 2015).

The woman was charged with five counts of armed robbery with offensive weapon, she was bail refused to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 11 June 2015).

Investigators attended a home on Cabramatta Avenue, Miller and executed a search warrant. During the warrant officers seized a number of items that will be alleged to be related to the robberies.
