Police have charged a man following an attempted armed robbery that occurred last night at New Farm.
At about 9.00pm a man entered a business on Welsby Street where police will allege he produced a knife and demanded money.
The console operator activated an alarm and the man fled the premises without any cash.
The console operator was not injured during the incident.
Police patrols located a 23-year-old Fortitude Valley man who has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
