14 June 2015 – Update – Charges Laid -Armed Robbery – Shopping Centre – Hillsdale

A man will appear in court today charged over allegedly attempting to break into a shopping centre in Hillsdale last year.

About 3:10am, on 14 November 2014, police were called to a shopping centre on Bunnerong Road after someone attempted to break into it.

A stolen Toyota Dyna truck was recovered at the scene and a 53-year-old man was located hiding nearby. He was arrested and charged over the matter.

Fingerprint and forensic examinations were carried out by Forensic Services Group.

Investigations led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man yesterday (Saturday 13 June 2015) at a home in Derwent Street, Glebe.

He was taken to Redfern Police Station and charged with attempt aggravated break and enter with intent to steal.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 14 June 2015).
