Police have charge a man following three armed robberies in Cabramatta during June 2015.

About 9am (Monday1 June 2015), a woman was working at a counter of a newsagent on Cabramatta Road, Cabramatta West, when a man entered the store.

The man allegedly threatened the attendant and demanded cash, she handed over a sum of cash and he fled the shop.

About 8am (Friday 12 June 2015), a 56-year-old man was working at the same counter when a man entered the newsagency and allegedly threatened the attendant demanding cash.

The man then ran from the location.

Police were contacted and officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command attended, the attendants reported both robberies.

An investigation was commenced and specialist forensic officers attended the location.

On Sunday 14 June 2015, a taxi picked up a male passenger on Townview Road, Mount Pritchard.

The man allegedly threatened the driver with a knife and stole the taxi.

Police were contacted and following inquiries the taxi was located on John Street, Cabramatta.

At 9.55am today (Monday 15 June 2015), detectives from Cabramatta Local Area Command were patrolling John Street, when they stopped and spoke to a man.

The 41-year-old man was searched and police will allege that a knife was found in his pants. He was subsequently arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station.

He was charged with three counts of armed robbery, aggravated take and use conveyance, and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.

The man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 16 June 2015).
