Just after midnight a man entered the Caltex service station on South Road and allegedly stole items of food. When staff confronted the man, he produced a knife and made threats towards him.
The suspect ran off but responding patrols arrived quickly on scene and set up cordons. With the assistance of police dog operations member Oscar and his handler, the suspect was found in nearby streets and arrested.
No one was physically injured.
A 21-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with aggravated robbery. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
