Police are renewing their appeal for information into an armed robbery in the Shoalhaven region last year.
About 1.30am on Friday 12 December 2015, two men entered a newsagency on Meroo Street, Bomaderry, and approached a male employee, who was preparing to open the store.
Police were told the men threatened the employee with a knife and demanded money before leading him to the rear of the store where he was tied up.
The men then poured accelerant over the employee’s head and lit him on fire, before running from the location.
The 45-year-old male employee was able to extinguish the flames without sustaining injuries and contacted police.
Detectives from Shoalhaven Local Area Command are investigating the incident and have released CCTV images of two men who they believe will be able to assist with inquiries.
The man depicted in the first image is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged late 20s to mid 30s, and wearing a black beanie, black hooded jumper, black pants, and white running shoes.
The man depicted in the second image is described as being aged early to mid 20s, and wearing a black beanie, blue hooded jumper, black pants with a white stripe, and white running shoes.
