Sturt Police are investigating a robbery at a Mitchell Park service station this afternoon.

At about 12.30pm, a young man armed with a pair of scissors threatened staff at the BP on Marion Road, Mitchell Park, and made off with cash.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a young man of Caucasian appearance, about 178 cm tall, average build, wearing a black hoodie.

Police dogs Koby and Oscar were called in to assist with the search but the suspect was not located. The suspect was last tracked heading east along Egan Crescent.
