Police are appealing for information after an attempted armed robbery in Tyndale overnight.
About 12.10pm on Saturday 4 July 2015, a man wearing dark sunglasses and a balaclava entered a shop on the Pacific Highway armed with a ball pein hammer. He threatened the 46-year-old store attendant, demanding money.
The attendant refused and the man left the store. He was last seen walking towards Sheehys Lane.
Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are investigating the matter.
They are appealing for anyone with information about the attempted armed robbery to come forward. In particular, they wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described wearing a balaclava, dark sunglasses and a green long-sleeved hoodie with black sleeves. He was carrying a dark blue backpack with cream-coloured sides.
