Police are investigating an armed robbery in Sydney’s west.

Just after 11am today (Monday 6 July 2015), a man was in the car park of a hotel on Parramatta Road, Granville, when he was confronted by a man armed with a long arm firearm.

The man with the firearm stole the man’s bag and fled the scene. He was last seen running west on Good Street. The bag and contents were later found by police nearby. There were no other proceeds of the robbery.

Police from Rosehill Local Area Command and the Dog Squad attended the scene and searched the area however no arrests have been made.

The man with the gun is described as Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, and wearing all black.
