Detectives from Altona North Embona Armed Robbery Task Force have charged a 17-year-old boy following an attempted armed robbery in Wyndham Vale last month.
Investigators have been told a man allegedly brandishing a large kitchen knife stormed into a milk bar on Cambridge Crescent around 8.05pm on Friday 26 June.
The Werribee teen handed himself into police this afternoon and has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery.
He will appear at Children’s Court at a later date.
