Police have arrested a man following an aggravated robbery at a West Beach supermarket tonight.

Just before 8pm a man wearing a black and white skull mask entered the Foodland supermarket on Burbridge Road armed with a knife and threatened staff.

The suspect stole an amount of cash and was last seen heading down Newlands Drive.

No one was physically injured.

As a result of investigations, police allegedly located the suspect at a nearby West Beach home where he was subsequently arrested. The stolen cash was also recovered.

A 32-year-old man from West Beach was charged with aggravated robbery. He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
