Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Bald Hills last night.

Around 9.15pm two men armed with a knife entered the Strathpine Road business before confronting an employee at the counter and demanding he hand over cash from the till and cigarettes.

The attendant complied with their demands and the pair fled the scene with a quantity of cigarettes and a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The first man is described as being about 183cm tall with a slim build and wearing a dark hooded jumper and long pants.

The second man is described as being about 170cm tall with an average build and wearing a green hooded jumper and white running shoes.

They were both wearing balaclavas.

Investigations are continuing.
