27 July 2015 – Charges Laid – Armed Robbery – Fast Food Restaurant – Wodonga

Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men following an alleged armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Wodonga last night.

It is alleged the incident took place at the Elgin Street fast food restaurant about 7.25pm.

The pair has both been charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Peter Warren Whyte, aged 30, and 42-year-old Jamie Philip Smith faced an out of session’s court hearing at Wodonga police station.

Both men, of no fixed address, have been remanded in custody and will face Wodonga Magistrates’ Court today.
