Detectives are investigating following the armed robbery of a takeaway shop on Lilac Street in Inala tonight.

At 7:15pm two men entered the business where one man produced a knife and demanded money from staff.

The staff complied with the demands and the men stole a sum of cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

No staff members were injured during the robbery.

The first man is described as approximately 183cm tall, of large build and Pacific Islander in appearance with a white cloth over his face.

The second man is described as approximately 183cm tall, of slim build and Pacific Islander in appearance and was wearing a black hoodie.

Investigations are continuing.
